Best option

If your receipts already live in Yahoo Mail, the cleanest setup is to connect the mailbox from Settings using a Yahoo app password. That gives rct-keep another live inbox feed for both older and new receipt emails.

If you only want a few senders, or you do not want to store mailbox credentials, use Email forwarding setup instead.

Connect Yahoo via IMAP

  1. Create a Yahoo app password
Open Yahoo Account Security, generate an app password for mail, and keep it ready.
  2. Open Settings
In the Email Accounts section, choose Connect Yahoo.
  3. Enter your Yahoo address and app password
Use your full Yahoo email address as the username, then tick the folders you want scanned.
  4. Choose the first import range
Start with the last 30 or 90 days if you want the first receipts to land faster.
  5. Save the connection
rct-keep validates the mailbox immediately and starts the initial scan.

For the broader IMAP flow, see Connect an IMAP mailbox.

Use forwarding instead

Yahoo forwarding is useful when you only want receipt-like emails from a few senders to reach rct-keep. Find your personal forwarding address in Settings, then follow the Yahoo section in Email forwarding setup.

After setup

  • Imported Yahoo receipts appear in your main Receipts list like any other source.
  • The scan progress panel in Settings shows discovered, fetched, imported, and skipped counts.
  • You can keep Yahoo connected alongside Gmail or other IMAP inboxes.
  • You can run another full scan later with Scan now.
