Best option

If your receipts arrive in iCloud Mail already, connect the mailbox directly with an Apple app-specific password. That lets rct-keep scan older receipt emails and keep new ones flowing in automatically, alongside any other inboxes you connect.

Connect iCloud Mail

  1. Create an Apple app-specific password
Use your Apple account security settings. Your normal Apple password will not work for this setup.
  2. Open Settings
Choose Connect iCloud under Email Accounts.
  3. Enter your full iCloud address and the app password
Select the folders you want scanned instead of relying on just INBOX.
  4. Pick the first import range
Shorter ranges finish sooner and are easier to verify on the first run.
  5. Save the mailbox
rct-keep validates the connection and starts the first scan immediately.

If you need the generic setup details, see Connect an IMAP mailbox.

Use forwarding instead

If you prefer not to store mailbox credentials, use a forwarding rule instead. Your personal forwarding address is in Settings, and the provider-level steps are in Email forwarding setup.

After setup

  • Imported iCloud Mail receipts appear in the same receipt list as uploads and forwarded mail.
  • The initial import may pause temporarily if pacing or quota limits are reached, then continue automatically.
  • You can keep iCloud Mail connected alongside Gmail or other IMAP inboxes.
  • You can disconnect the mailbox from Settings at any time.
