Why is it paid?
Because rct-keep should be a tool, not a data play. The subscription is what keeps the incentives simple — there are no ads, no upsells, and the product is not selling anyone's receipts to anyone. The price is intentionally low so it covers what it costs to run cleanly: storage, processing, OCR, and someone (me) on the other end keeping it working.
Is my data sold?
No. Your receipts are yours. rct-keep does not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train third-party models. The Anthropic API is used to extract details from receipt images and emails, and Anthropic is contractually prohibited from training on your data. The full
privacy policy spells this out, and there is a CSV export so you can take everything with you whenever you want.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. We capture your card up front but don't charge until day 14, so the conversion to paid is automatic if you stick around. Cancel any time before then from the
billing page and nothing comes off the card.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page in one click. During the trial that means no charge at all. After that, you keep access through the period you've already paid for, and your receipts stay accessible — you can always sign back in, export your data, or delete your account.
What's the refund policy?
The 14-day free trial means you can fully evaluate rct-keep before any money changes hands, so refunds shouldn't be needed often. If something does go wrong shortly after a charge — accidental renewal, technical issue, you simply forgot you signed up — email

Monthly or annual — what's the difference?
Same product, same features. Annual is $30/year (works out to $2.50/mo, two months free) and monthly is $3/month. Pick whichever feels right; you can switch from the billing page later.
